The Cyber Domain

The cyber domain is the newest of the domains and is virtual in nature.  The other domains (being physical) are:

• Air
• Land
• Maritime
• Space

The cyber domain is unique in that it is its own domain of operation and it can mirror and/or augment the physical domains.  CDCG defines the cyber domain as:

That which exists on and in computer-based networks

Cyber Presence

Today, most people have a fundamental understanding of what cyber presence means.  However, CDCG enhances the basic meaning with more comprehensive enabling concepts and ideas.  Such ideas that are necessary to fully enhance your ability to use the cyber domain.  CDCG defines cyber presence as:

"The act of existing within the cyber domain"

Just who is existing?  Any entity.  An entity can be animate or inanimate, real or virtual in nature.  Additionally, this entity can be singular or many.  Cyber presence is the way an individual and/or organization presents itself within the cyber domain (i.e., Internet).  It's important to recognize and actively participate in the cyber domain.  Failure to properly present yourself and/or organization could damage your reputation and assist in the failure of your organization.
